The Bystanders
The other customers were engrossed in their meals, indifferent to Timmy’s plight. A couple in the booth nearby whispered to each other but did nothing. An elderly man sipped his coffee, staring out the window. Timmy’s eyes darted around, seeking help.
But there was no one willing to step in and stop the bullies. Behind the counter, the staff kept busy. Sam remained seated, biding his time. His eyes were sharp, calculating, ready to make his move. Things were about to get heated in Burger King.
